We’re here to once again tell you about all of the amazing things going on in our great city, this September.
Nish Kumar at Bristol Beacon - 26th September
Nish Kumar – one of The Guardian and The Telegraph’s 50 Best Comedians of the 21st Century – is back on tour with his brand new politically-charged stand-up show, Nish, Don’t Kill My Vibe. Expect jokes about climate collapse, income inequality and the emotional sensation of being a British Indian man who isn’t going to vote for a British Indian Prime Minister. It’s 80 minutes of sweet, sweet vibe killing, plus a support act and interval. Click here for tickets!
Bristol Sea Shanty Festival at SS Great Britain - 21st September
The City of Bristol has an incredible maritime history, shown off along two nautical miles of harbourside that just keeps getting better and better. So much atmosphere and so many places to visit. Amazing things to see, brilliant pubs and truly world class places to eat. And given that we have more salty singing talent than any other city in the UK as well as the very best sea shanty crews, groups and choirs from counties within a day's sail - well, it's crying out for a maritime music celebration.
The World in Bristol at Bristol Museum - 14th September
Celebrate Bristol’s diverse cultures with a vibrant day of music, dance, storytelling and craft activities. This family-friendly event showcases the city’s amazing migrant and diaspora communities who shape and enrich our city. Join the Caribbean singing workshop, have a go at holistic African dance, catch storytelling about traditional Polish legends, participate in the communal flag-making activity, and lots more.
