Valentine's Day on a Budget
Valentine’s Day is often a big expense for those in relationships, and the pressure mounts up to separate yourself from partners that have gone before. Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to break the bank, CSL is here to help you win over your sweetheart, and your bank balance!
Buy a meal-deal
Many supermarkets have dinner for two meal-deals that are fantastic value. Tesco has one where you can choose a main, side, dessert, and drink for just £12 (and the wine isn’t too bad!). Waitrose has a V-Day-specific deal for £20, which includes a starter, main, side, dessert, and drink. These deals have all of the trappings of a Romantic night in. TOP TIP: Add some candles and good lighting to really wow your sweetheart.
Make a bouquet
This one can cost nothing, or only a bit of money, depending on where you choose to go. Either by picking your own flowers, or buying a couple of cheap bouquets, you can use string, parcel paper, and tissue paper to create your own lovely bouquet! Bonus points if you know your cuties’ favourite flowers!
Cook a nice dinner
Time, thought, and effort are the most important things when it comes to celebrations like Valentine’s Day, so putting in the effort to find out and cook your loved one’s favourite dish will put you in good stead! It’s always a good idea to add little extras like candles, a tablecloth and lay the table nicely.
Playlist
Almost everyone uses a music streaming platform these days, which makes them perfect for creating a personalised gift. You can create a custom playlist for your lover that could be full of romantic songs that remind you of them. On most music streaming services (like Spotify and Apple Music) you can customise the name and front image of a playlist too, personalise it to your pookie even further.
We hope that this has ignited your passion to impress and pamper your partner this Valentine’s Day. While CSL doesn’t offer vouchers, if your sweetie needs somewhere flexible and affordable to stay in Clifton, send them over to us!
