Your Ultimate Bristol Festival Guide
For those missing out on Glastonbury this year fear not for Bristol has a fantastic line-up of festivals to keep you entertained this summer!
26th - 28th June
If you are foodie, this one’s for you. The largest food festival in the UK is returning to Bristol giving you the opportunity to experience food like never before. With everything from demonstrations by top chefs, tastings of new wines, beers, spirits and cocktails, a vintage tea tent, pop up restaurants, live music and kid's cookery classes, the festival has something for everyone. Those with a taste for heat, can even participate in a chilli eating challenge at the Chilli food market!
8th - 12 July 2015
Relax upon the beautiful lawns of Queens Square and laugh the night away as you enjoy an evening of entertainment put on by a wide range of renowned comedians. What could be better on a lovely summers evening? With plenty of bars and a selection of the finest street food in the South West, you won’t leave hungry either.
4th - 12th July
With Bristol pride week running from the 4th - 12th July, the Pride Day Festival is set to finish off the week off with a bang! This huge annual, outdoor music and arts festival and will be taking place in Castle Park in celebration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community in Bristol. Head down and enjoy the awesome festivities which will feature stages of entertainment, an array of stalls, a market, a funfair, an abundance of food and bars and much more. With something for everyone, the festival promises to be the most colourful yet.
17th - 19th July
And finally, a festival that should be marked on everyone’s calendar. One of the UKs largest ever, public events is back and its FREE. The 3 day weekend extravaganza attracts over 250,000 visitors and is a chance for Bristol to showcase its rich maritime history and incredible musical and performance roots. An opportunity to relax, enjoy and party with friends and family, the festival extends across a 2 mile radius, stretching from Queens Square and across the Harbourside, offering plenty to enjoy. Boasting a variety of maritime events, unique music and dance displays, markets, a circus, a funfair as well as an abundance of delicious food and drink, this is one festival NOT to be missed.
With all that’s going on in Bristol, it’s no wonder it’s been named the best UK city to live in! With so much choice, it’s time to celebrate the glorious summer and make the most of what’s on offer. We’ll see you there!
