May in Bristol
So this month really is spoiling us with not one, but two bank holiday weekends! Here is our round up for the month to make sure you are making the most of those extra days holiday!
Let’s dive straight in with the 4th Annual Cider and Cheese Fayre at The Ring O Bells in Compton Martin. Get the chance to sample over 25 artisan cheeses and many a local cider, not to mention lots of other local produce. We hear there will be a Yeo Valley Ice Cream van on site if you need tempting, but if you are anything like us you were in after the mention of cheese! Everything kicks off at midday so don’t be late!
So if you’ve over splurged with too much Cider and Cheese then we have just the thing to shake that blurry head for you. Walk Fest runs the whole month of May so you have plenty of time to get out in the fresh air! Grab the pair of walking boots from the back of the cupboard you bought that one time you felt like walking was going to be your thing…and make it happen! Find the official program here.
As we are coming into the summer months, we think there is nothing better than sitting in the sunshine, glass of wine in hand watching the world go by. If you feel the same then we may have a treat for you. The South West Wine fair is coming to Bristol and we can’t wait to try our hand, or should I say taste buds, at some wine tasting.
With eight local vineyards taking part this is your chance to go and learn some of the tricks of the trade to impress your friends with back in the pub. We’ll see you there!
Boom Boom: Exhibition at hours, Colston Yard
Looking for a little culture this month too? Why not check out Boom Boom: Exhibition at hours, Colston Yard. Local artist and printmaker, Ivana Svabic Cannon displays her simplistic, yet complex pieces that are set to enchant the eyes. Find more information here.
End the month on a high as Loves Saves the Day returns for its fifth year in Eastville Park. Get the glitter at the ready as this year is set to be bigger and better than ever before. With a line to die for, a new trading area called Bristol Bazaar selling lots of local handmade goodies and hopefully some Bristish sunshine you won’t want to miss it! The bonus with this one is that you have the bank holiday Monday to recover before it’s time to go back to work!
Check out the line up here!
