Bristol Summer Cider Festival

 Bristol International Kite Festival

On the 22nd and 23rd August, Bristol Kite festival will celebrate its 28th year. The kite festival was born when three friends, Martin Lester, John Peyton and Avril Baker were successful in putting on a flying display for Bristol City Council. It went that well, the group decided to make it an annual event.

You can watch the experts do their thing with a full programme of flying displays over the two days or get involved yourself in the public flying areas.

The Lanes Summer Festival

This year The Lanes is holding its very first summer festival. Make the most out of the August bank holiday and head down on the Sunday. The festival pulls together an array of entertainment including live bands throughout the day, circus performers and courtyard games. With an outside bar from Orchard Pig and a beer festival serving some of The Lanes’ favourite local brews it’s one event we won’t be missing.
